These terms apply to consumer purchases from brightwaterfilters.co.uk for delivery within the United Kingdom. Please read them before placing an order and keep a copy for your records.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

2. Products and descriptions
We aim to provide accurate product descriptions, specifications, prices and availability.
Product images are illustrative. Minor differences in colour or packaging may occur, but the goods supplied must match their description.
Please check the product specifications and installation requirements before ordering. Contact us if you need help checking compatibility with your existing plumbing.
3. Orders and payment
You can review and correct your order before completing checkout. Please provide accurate contact and delivery details.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes. Delivery charges and the total amount payable are displayed before you place your order.
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payment is required when placing an order.
Your order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm acceptance of your order. An automated acknowledgement of receipt alone does not constitute acceptance.
If we cannot accept your order because a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised or there is a material pricing error, we will contact you and refund any payment taken for that order. We will not substitute a product or charge a different price without your agreement.
Price changes do not affect orders already accepted.
4. Delivery
Our products will be dispatched within 48 hours of your order being placed. Please then allow approximately 3 working days after dispatch for your order to be delivered. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
If ordering during the weekend, bank holidays, and national holidays, dispatch time may vary.
We rely on external delivery companies and cannot guarantee delivery within 3 working days. We will not be liable for any delays in delivery, or any resulting losses incurred.
You will receive an email with your tracking information when available. Unless another delivery period has been agreed, we will deliver without undue delay and within 30 days of accepting your order. Your legal rights to cancel because of late delivery remain unaffected.
For deliveries using a carrier arranged by us, goods remain our responsibility until you or a person you nominate takes physical possession. Contact info@brightwaterfilters.co.uk if your order is missing, damaged or incorrect.
In the event of products being damaged in transit, we will normally replace them. We might insist the products are returned to us using a proof of delivery service.
5. Installation and technical liability
Install, operate and maintain products in accordance with the instructions supplied and our published installation guidance.
Prior to any installation, you must find out the location of your water mains stopcock and turn off the mains water supply where instructed. Failures rarely happen, although a failure potentially can happen to any device; customers are advised to consider purchasing a water pressure valve.
We will not be liable for any resulting damage caused by any of our products being installed incorrectly and failing because of any incorrect installation methods which are contrary to that which we advise.
We will not cover any costs should you decide to have a plumber or other tradesmen called to your address. If you are unsure how to install a product safely, you may use a suitably qualified installer at your own expense.
Unless expressly included in your order, the purchase price covers the product only. Installation and routine maintenance are your responsibility.
6. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Our Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy forms part of these terms.
For most online purchases, you may notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 days after the day you receive the goods. You then have a further 14 days to return them. Applicable statutory exceptions, including qualifying unsealed hygiene goods, are explained in our returns policy.
We also offer a 90-day money-back policy on most of our products for unopened, unused and uninstalled products in a re-sellable condition for health and safety reasons, so as not to jeopardise the hygienic integrity of the water filter. If non-faulty products have been opened, they will only be refunded after they have been proved by our experts to be faulty or damaged.
For change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for paying return postage. If you wish to return a faulty or damaged product, please contact us via telephone or our contact page with proof of fault/damage to confirm the return address and return method. In some circumstances where a refund is requested, we reserve the right to charge up to 20% of the purchase price to cover postage costs.
To request a cancellation or return, email info@brightwaterfilters.co.uk or contact us via our website contact page. Your statutory cancellation does not depend on our approval.
7. Warranty and faulty goods
All products include a one-year warranty from delivery covering faults arising during normal intended use.
Depending on the fault, we may repair the product, replace a faulty part or product, or provide a refund. Your statutory entitlement to a particular remedy takes priority.
The warranty excludes normal wear, routine cartridge replacement and damage caused by misuse or incorrect installation methods contrary to our advice.
Your legal rights concerning faulty or misdescribed goods may continue beyond the warranty period.
8. Our responsibility
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We do not exclude or limit responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights concerning the goods.
Ordinary installation costs, tradesman fees, or consequential losses arising from delivery delays or improper installation are strictly not included or covered. However, this does not exclude reasonable costs we are legally required to pay when goods are faulty or we breach the contract.
9. Support and customer conduct
We will try our best to provide support by phone and email. You must coordinate with our staff to identify the cause of any problem and treat our staff reasonably and with respect.
Rudeness and verbal abuse will not be tolerated. Abusive behaviour does not remove your statutory rights, but may result in the limitation of direct phone/email support channels to formal written communication.
10. Website use and privacy
You must not misuse the website, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access or use it for fraudulent activity.
Website content belongs to Bright Water Filters or its licensors. You may use it for personal shopping and reference purposes. Commercial reproduction requires permission unless otherwise permitted by law.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
11. Complaints
Email info@brightwaterfilters.co.uk with your order details and a description of the issue. We will investigate and work with you to resolve it.
Please communicate respectfully with our team as outlined in Section 9.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future orders. The version in force when your order is accepted applies to that order. Updates do not retrospectively change an existing contract.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain the protection of mandatory consumer laws applicable where you live and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
